We hope you can join us for this year's Fall Classic September 22-24. Lodging is at the Olympia Lodge in Pacific Grove with two days of fun playing golf on two great golf courses...Pacific Grove (poor man’s Pebble beach) and Monterey Pines (the old Navy course). Last year's event was a blast, and we hope you can make it again. This event is open to all members and non-members with handicaps. If we have approximately 40 players, we will have a shotgun start at both courses. Prizes are given for each day of golf and are handed out the same day.
Fred Arras heads up the elite team of George Vignolo, Stan Lindberg, Terry Estrada and him, who all work hard to make this event fun and fiscally reasonable. In addition, Fred's wife Kathy, the "real brains of this event," keeps them on track and does all the spreadsheets and computer work.
There will be a welcome party at the hotel on Sunday. We will have our own buffet at the hotel on Monday as it keeps the price of dinner very low and allows us to congregate. This is a BYOB event. There were wonderful helpers in the kitchen last year and they will be asking for help again this year.
Fred's focus is making the event fun for golfers and non-golfers. He works hard to keep expenses low in order to include as many golfers as possible.
Spouses and non-golfers love the beach areas and have fun while we are on the golf courses.
To keep this event fun, the number of golfers is limited to 50. If you want to attend, please email Fred at or call him at 559-709-8256.
